Something has changed when searching for text in the Note field

For a while I’ve been using my own defined ‘shortcuts’ within the Note field of logins but now, with the latest v2026.5.1 browser extension, I can no longer do this and I wonder why. What I did was, writing colon + bw (:bw) in everything related to Bitwarden and then, by searching for :bw I could quickly view my Bitwarden entires. I used this for many different groups of related logins but somehow it no longer works :frowning:

Has colon, in the search field, been assigned to some specific use?

So I could’ve found this by looking closer or searching for ‘search’ :wink:

Since your “shortcut” terms are located in the Notes field, you are most likely affected by the following bug:
