Solved: Trouble changing email for forums

This is for the FORUMS, not the password manager. I am trying to change the email address I use for the forums, however it fails at the last step. I am using firefox. The steps I take:

  1. go into Profile → Preferences and click on the change e-mail
  2. Enter the new email address
  3. In the email sent to the new address, click on the link
  4. On the page which opens up click on the confirm button

This gives an error:
An unhandled server error has occurred.

Is this a bug or have I missed a step along the way?

It’s a long-standing bug.

Check out this thread, especially the “workaround” below that; I haven’t tried that out, though.

Thank you @Neuron5569 ! Disabling two factor authentication allowed me to change my email address.
