Simplify/clarify the browser context menu in locked state

When the vault is locked, Bitwarden’s top-level browser context menu should be changed to:

“Unlock your vault…”

Currently, users must drill down multiple levels before being offered this option, as pictured.

This not only wastes time/clicks, it misleads the user into thinking that they can autofill, copy, etc. when in fact they cannot.

I like your proposal, and I think that at a minimum, they could change the shield icon in the context menu to match the browser extension icon (with the padlock overlay when the extension is locked).

It’s not the context menu, but they do that for the overlay icon:

I speculate, @grb really meant the context menu icon :

No speculation. @grb clearly stated “context menu”. I was just noting that it is located in a nearby spot.

Oh. I think the second part of your sentence (“but they do that for the overlay icon”) slipped through my brain without processing then.

Presumably, most users who routinely autofill using the right-click context menu have disabled the inline autofill menus. Thus, in the context of this feature request, the display of the lock status in the inline overlay icon does not help.

Although I do not use inline-autofill, I do have it display the shield as a reminder that my preferred autofill (control-shift-L) is a viable option at this point.
