Shared SMS Codes

Many sites require SMS verification. This is a headache-inducing issue for shared company accounts as we have no phone number accessible by everyone who needs to access the account. People end up using their personal numbers and must forward the code whenever anyone needs to login. If they leave or change their number, we risk complete loss of access to the account.

If Bitwarden could act as an SMS device to receive SMS codes, it would greatly increase the functionality of the platform for group accounts. I do not believe we would mind paying for 1 or more shared numbers we could control access to, the way we share access to folders of logins.

Can you not have everyone use Bitwarden Authenticator (or some other authenticator) instead?

I’d be looking to eliminate the use of SMS for 2FA everywhere possible, since SMS is almost entirely insecure for 2FA.
