Search button for bottom tab menu

Feature name

  • „Search“-Button in Bottom-Tab-Menu in iOS App

Feature function

  • the good thing about Bitwarden is, usually Indont have to open the app to use it due to autocomplete (I am on iOS)
  • but most of the time I have to open the app it is to search for login data because some website has its login fields non formatted correctly…
  • unfortunately, the search button at the top right corner is quite hard to reach on larger smartphones and with one handed usage
  • would love to see a search button at the bottom in den tab menu for easy access and efficiency

And the Android app while you’re at it :grinning:.

I always use the search because of the hundreds and hundreds of entries. So it’s very uncomfortable actually to use it, when you have a Pro Max for example.

It would be cool, when the search Icon would be at the bottom of the app.

@minternational Welcome to the forum!

I moved your post into an existing Feature Request thread. You may also want to comment in the following Beta Program Feedback thread:

P.S. @JeremyCouch FYI, there is a separate feature request thread for doing this in Android. If the two threads can be merged, please let me know.

I totally agree. Search is the most used action and it is not only the furtherst away from my fingers when holding the phone it is also a very tiny button which can be - depending on your phone - easy to miss. Search should definitely be in the bottom bar (on iOS as well as on Android) and it should also feature the double click to open keyboard pattern which many apps use these days.
