Having updated macOS to the 15.3 release candidate (with Safari 18.3), the Safari extension is showing just a blank window with a spinner on the Safari default home page. If I choose the “Pop out to a new window” option then the new window shows the usual vault information that I would expect to see in the extension itself.
The extension seems to be behaving just fine when Safari is displaying an actual website - it’s just on the default home page (where the Bitwarden extension icon changes from blue to grey) that it cannot load the default vault info.
I couldn’t replicate this on my end. If you haven’t already, please open a ticket with the support team so that we can look further into this: Help Center | Bitwarden
I am having exactly the same problem. If I keep using safari I end up with many small Bitwarden login apps on my desktop. I also had this problem with the arc browser but it corrected itself somehow.
Oh yes - I know it’s the Start Page that’s doing it and that setting it to something else is a workaround (but not a solution). It’s why it’s doing it that needs looking into.
I’ve tried playing around with the Start Page settings (even turning everything off so that it’s a blank start page) but it doesn’t solve the issue which has only happened since upgrading to macOS 15.3.
