Repeated prompts to save password

On my phone, for some apps, I get requests to save passwords every time, even tho I save them every time.

Sounds like you are talking about the optional function “Ask to add login”, in which Bitwarden asks if you want to save a password that isn’t found in the vault.

The function only works properly if your vault is unlocked. Otherwise, Bitwarden has no way of knowing that the login already exists in the vault, because the vault contents are completely encrypted while the vault is locked.

Sounds like you may need to increase the vault time-out period, so that it doesn’t lock as frequently (or just get in the habit of manually unlocking the vault before you access any password-protected apps or websites).
