Recovering my password vault from backup

I have lost my backup code and I have locked myself out of the phone which had Authy on it.

However I have just discovered I can access all my passwords on my desktop via the firefox extension. I have export the vault into json format.

I was wondering if there is a way I can reset my account then re inport all my passwords into the vault?

I understand if I reset the account I will loose all the data.

If you have lost access to your Bitwarden account, then you can delete your account and set up a new one.

It sounds like you have just lost all your 2FA methods, i.e. TOTP & recovery code.

  1. If you have clicked “Remember me” in the past for your desktop, maybe you can login into your web vault and just reconfigure your TOTP and retrieve your recovery code.

  2. If not, you have the option to delete your account (Delete an Account or Organization | Bitwarden Help Center), create a new one, and import your exported data.

Remember that WebAuthn 2FA is now available even for free account, you may want to think about using your computer as a WebAuthn 2FA device. In any case, definitely write down your recovery code.
