Problem logging in mobile app

When i try to login on the android mobile app, it says that the password is incorrect even tought i triple checked and the same paste of the password logs normally on the browser, but when i try to log in the app it doesnt work.
I already uninstalled and reinstalled, cleared the apps cache and so on.

Did you chose the correct server region for logging in on the mobile app? (US v. EU → they are not interchangeable)

Yes i chose the us one, in the app i can select :
.eu
self host
.com
i chose .com wich is the one i used to create my account, but no success

Are you sure you’re using the correct email? (didn’t change it some time ago, didn’t choose the wrong email now, didn’t forget a “+”-part if used, no typos…?!)

Yes, i double checked both the email and the master password.
I used the same credentials to log in the mobile browser and it worked normally.
But in the mobile app, it displays the error message

Hmmm… can you login to the web vault? (vault.bitwarden.com when you are using the US server)

Hm, I would recommend reading this section here in that guide - I could imagine you may have a master password with some problematic characters and/or some kind of auto-corrections changing your input.

So you could either try to input your master password differently / copy & paste / don’t copy & paste / deactivate auto-correct / … - or maybe even change your master password to a passphrase. (but I wouldn’t do that last idea immediately - and if at all, create an export before you do anything!)

If it isn’t that, I’m probably out of (immediate) ideas…

Ah, JSON or ZIP exports are recommended. (ZIP contains attachments, JSON don’t – and CSV contains less)

BTW, I guess you have a current version of the Android mobile app? (as you deinstalled/reinstalled it already :thinking:)

And did it work until now (for the last years or whatever) – or did you just set up Bitwarden the first time?

yeah just set up the first time now, everything works fine, except on the mobile app xD
