Please make the apps look good

As a recent KeePass user, I’ve been exploring Bitwarden and have a few observations. While I appreciate Bitwarden’s sync capabilities and overall ease of use, I’ve noticed occasional performance issues and glitches, which is unexpected given the application’s lightweight nature. Additionally, the current design, though functional, could benefit from a more modern and polished aesthetic. The prevalence of sharp corners and a somewhat dated appearance may not align with the design preferences of today’s users. Enhancing the user experience, both in terms of performance and visual design, could further strengthen Bitwarden’s position in the market and make it an even more compelling choice for users.

@crabgrass7921 Hi!

You tagged your post/thread with “app:mobile” - so are you on iOS or Android? I come back to that later…

For the browser extensions, there is an “UI refresh” in developement (Bringing intuitive workflows and visual updates to the Bitwarden browser extension | Bitwarden Blog), expected to be released around the end of this year.

Based on that, the new native mobile apps (Bitwarden releases phased beta for native mobile apps | Bitwarden Blog) get a (further) UI refresh as well.

If you are on iOS, you should already have the new native mobile app, as it is already released. But as I wrote before, that will get a further UI refresh as well.

If you are on Android, you are probably on the latest stable release (= the “now-old” mobile app, version 2024.7.1, which is retiring…). The release of the new native mobile app for Android is expected “any day” now. And here, this will get a further UI refresh, based on the UI refresh of the browser extensions, as well.

Furthermore, I speculate, when the browser extensions and both new native mobile apps (iOS and Android) got their UI refresh, I guess the web vault and desktop apps will get adapted to that “new UI” as well…

The web vault has already had a new UI launched earlier this year

Yes, but the new “UI refresh” (browser extensions, native mobile apps…) looks different to that… and as I just speculated, I guess the web vault (and desktop apps) will sooner or later get another new overhaul - according to the new UI of the browser extensions and new native mobile apps.
