Password export requirements of Android software

I think password export can add a one-click export csv format and encryption compression, so that I do not have to go to the file manager after each export csv file encryption and compression

So, you also propose a new option for “encrypted CSV exports”? (at the moment, only for JSON files encrypted exports are possible)

What do you mean by “after each export”? … Ah, wait: so you exported as CSV and then encrypted the files yourself? - So, you indeed are suggesting “encrypted CSV exports”?!

Maybe you are aware, but just for your information: JSON exports are usually recommended, because they 1. can already be encrypted and 2. because they also include cards, identities and passkeys in the exports (–> CSV exports don’t include cards, identities and passkeys).

So, why don’t just use JSON (password-protected) encrypted exports?

Leave a convenient escape route for yourself

What I’m considering is importing into the new software. This software doesn’t support json files. That would be bad. Moreover, json files are not convenient to read and might cause me to need to organize them one by one. Therefore, I need the csv file export function to have the same function as the json file export function, compress and encrypt. Of course, it would be even better if csv files could be directly encrypted. The main reason is that csv files are convenient to view

? - I’m not sure of the exact meaning of this…

And this software does support CSV files, that were encrypted afterwards? (and that, regardless of how they are encrypted then?) – I would think, that most software can only import CSVs in an “unencrypted” and “uncompressed” way…

I do get that. – I don’t know your usecase and what kind of “software” you mean. Just FYI, (encrypted) Bitwarden JSON files can e.g. be imported by KeePassXC, if that would help you at all.
