Passkey not working for WellsFargo.com

I’ve created a passkey after logging into my WellsFargo.com account, and saved it to the appropriate Bitwarden entry, using the Brave browser extension. I can see the passkey stored in the entry.

When I try logging into WellsFargo.com with the passkey, though, I get “No passkeys found for this application.”

How can I get this working?

@Scott Is this the first or only passkey you stored in the Bitwarden vault?
Do you have other passkeys that still work?

It’s not my first or only passkey. I just tested, and my Amazon passkey still works. I’ve opened a case with Bitwarden support. Thanks.

Okay, there was also a bug report recently, that sounds similar - you might want to add your issue there also: “No Passkeys found for this application” on AWS using the Bitwarden extension · Issue #14139 · bitwarden/clients · GitHub

Same issue using Firefox on Linux.

I think there are some updates about the issue with “WellsFargo” - here the link to a relevant comment from the previously posted GitHub issue.

PS: And this seems to be the fix (for all who want to track it).

Indeed, I figured it was a Wells Fargo problem and told Bitwarden support as much weeks ago. Bolstering my confidence in that conclusion was the fact that WF’s web systems are among the worst I’ve ever seen – and I work in IT at a major financial institution. WF has a breathtaking ability to break even the most basic functionality and immiserate the user with a UX that at times seems designed to enrage.
