Opera browser extension is broken

Started having issues with the Bitwarden extension for Opera this week. I’m on v 2023.10.0

Have used it w/o issue for a year or more. On a few occasions starting a month ago I got an error message, randomly, that it could not autofill login info for some random websites. I cd still “see” my password records but it wouldn’t autoload. I had to do it manually.

A week ago it stopped working altogether: now it will not show any records at all in the browser extension for Opera. For each entry it just says “error: cannot decrypt.” I can click on those entries and the info is there, but I cannot see the entry name. The records are still there – still visible in the Bitwarden app –

but I can’t see them in the extension. If I search for a card, it comes up blank.

I was temporarily able to resolve the issue by uninstalling the extension, rebooting, and reinstalling the extension. Seemed okay, but today it started all over again.

This renders the browser extension for Opera unusable. Seems to stil work in Chrome.

Any help wd b most appreciated.

@Tergin Hi, there is already a fix for this. I think in Opera you have to wait for the extension version 2023.10.1 (which was released two days ago but is at the moment not yet available in every browser).

I was able to install 2023.10.1 from the chrome store using the Open in Opera Browser extension. Wish me luck!
