On Mac Tahoe 26.5.1 running on MacBook Pro, when I start the Bitwarden app my password is (partially) filled in (hidden of course). I can’t figure out where that partial password is stored or how to turn off this autofill feature. Bitwarden does store passwords on Keychain Access, but even if I delete all of those this behavior still occurs. Nothing is stored on Password app under ‘Bitwarden’. Any suggestions (a) where this is being stored and (b) how to stop this behavior?
I would first verify whether those dots are real retained input or just a UI restore artifact: press Cmd+A in the master-password field, delete it, quit Bitwarden completely, then reopen. If it comes back, it is probably in Bitwarden’s local app state rather than Keychain/Passwords. Please also post the exact Bitwarden desktop version from Settings → About. If you want to test without deleting the app, sign out of the desktop app and remove only the local Bitwarden app data after making sure you can still log in from another device/browser.
