Not receiving notifications from "login with device"?

So, I’ve have had bitwarden setup forever. I usually login in by clicking “Login with device” after entering my bitwarden email into the chrome extension. I get a notification on my iphone almost immediately. Sometimes its been delayed a little but not that much.

Today I am not receiving the notifications at all. I have been in the app mucking around with settings so it shouldn’t be that. After looking at stuff in the settings I do see them if i click on "pending login requests’ in Settings–>Account Security but i’m not receiving notifications.

I checked notifications in my IOS settings app:
Settings–>Apps>Bitwarden–>notifications and all notifications are turned on.

In the bitwarden app:
Account Security–>Allow authenticator Syncing
Not 100% sure what that is. Never turned it on before so I tried turning it on & nope it didn’t fix my issue.

anyone have any ideas?

That would only be relevant, if you had the dedicated BW authenticator app installed and wanted to sync TOTP codes from your BW vault with the dedicated TOTP app.

What is your Chrome extension version?
iOS app version?

Did you already try to log out and log in again with the iOS app?

IOS App Version: 2025.8.1

I will try to log out & login my IOS device & report back. I did force close the app but not log out.

Logging out & logging in didn’t solve the problem. I do also have an ipad & notifications are showing up there.

Hm, if I were you, I probably would try to deinstall and reinstall the iOS app next.

I don’t use iPhones myself, but did you change anything in your iOS settings etc.? Anything that would (or could) hinder notifications from the BW app?

@Nail1684 thanks for walking through this with me. Ya on my way home I was thinking thats exactly what i was going to do: Uninstall/Reinstall. That fixed it. I am now receiving notifications again. Yeahhh!!!
