Hi
as can be seen from the picture, the mobile app doesn’t offer a Bitwarden password to fill but rather Firefoxs. The same thing happens in Chrome.
i have enabled bitwarden in the apps, in firefox and still no joy.
Have you verified that you have an entry in your vault for that URI (login.live.com)?
Not only that I actually opened it with a window from the application itself
Wait - I just reread your post. Are you saying you have the password for that account saved in both Bitwarden and Firefox?
If so, remove it from Firefox. If you are using a real password manager such as Bitwarden you want to migrate any existing browser-saved passwords to the password manager.
As much as I agree with you putting all the eggs in one place is a really risky move. In any case, bitwarden should work regardless of other password managers.
But, in this case you have the browser and BW competing. And no browser is going to be as secure as a good password manager.
As to keeping all eggs in one basket, besides making multiple backups of your vault and storing them in different locations (cloud, geographically dispersed, etc.) you can also import your vault into a local password manager. That’s what I do, so that I am not wholly reliant on a network connection to BW.
What is this supposed to mean in your situation?
Keeping passwords in the browser just increases your attack surface, and results in interference with Bitwarden’s browser extension.
