With the new UI, if I click on a login field a popup occurs. (I hate popups). If I click in the username field, a long rectangular box appears and a 2nd popup is overlaid over the long rectangular box showing two different usernames (only one of which is the username login for the site I’m on).
Why is it showing me a username that doesn’t belong to the site I’m on? I have never used the other listed username with the site and it is not in the password history.
Is there a way to disable these popups so they do not occur? I have disabled everything in notifications but that didn’t work.
Now I cannot keep the window open when typing in the screen behind it. In the old Bitwarden, I can click the fixate button and then type in the browser window behind the fixed popup. In the new Bitwarden, the window won’t stay fixed and disappears when I try to type in the window behind it, retreating into the background.
Oh, Bitwarden, this app is totally bonkers now. I’m left having to make lists of setting changes to get this think halfway back to normal.
See off on the left how there is a popup over the bottom popup? In that top popup it shows 2 usernames but only one of which is the one used to login to the site.
I’m still getting that username popup even after disabling everything in the Autofill section. Is that a bug? Shouldn’t that popup no longer be appearing after I disabled everything?
I’m tired of spending so much time on this. Didn’t have to spend time on the Old UI at all. Install and done. Using this new UI is going to be a PITA. Have to take a look at some other password manager options. I’m a paying Bitwarden user too. Be sad to go but there are so many usability problems with this new design.
My suggestion, try disabling the bitwarden extension altogether (picture below) to see what goes away. Anything remaining is being popped up by something other than Bitwarden. Disabling your other extensions can help narrow down what is causing it, as can turning off “Offer to save…” on chrome://password-manager/settings
