Hi,
I am on Brave browser and yesterday my plugin was upgraded. I do not like at all the new design as basic function require more clicks than previous versions.
Worse today the plugin is borked and no longer does anything. i click on it and nothing pops up. I uninstalled the plugin and reinstalled and now the plugin will not even log in. I can use the same user/password to log in on bitwarden.com just fine.
I have searched and see lots of complaints on reddit and this forum about the new design but am not clear if others are having my exact issue. I am on windows 11 and brave browser. The password manager has one job and so far its failing badly after years of trust that it has built with me. A new look and colors are not worth this.
Just as a general info: I’m on Windows 11 and Brave, too, and don’t experience those problems with the new browser extension (2024.12.3) - obviously apart from getting used to the new design in general.
Thanks for the feedback it was actually very helpful. Knowing that it works for others with my config i took your suggesting and did a full uninstall and cleaned all settings. PITA to set everything back up again the way i had it but it worked! At least for the moment. Thanks again for your help!
The plugin requires more clicks to do the same thing as the last version but at least its working to provide passwords.
The less you read about it, the quicker you will find your way around with the new extension.
In the “vault” tab, on the top right you can toggle the filters on/off.
In Settings → Appearances are some new options, like controlling the width of the extension window or bringing the old “quick copy buttons” back
I guess in Settings → Auto-fill are also some new options (I think mainly regarding the inline autofill menu - and whether showing cards and identities as auto-fill suggestions)
