New account opened using a different email address - locked out of old account because of phone issue

I was locked out of my account (due to a phone migration – can’t access 2FA)

I was able to export my data, and I created a new account which is now 2FA enabled in a different email address.


  1. How do I shut down old bitwarden account (where I lost 2FA authentication)
  2. How do I change my email on new account to my old email address

Note – I’m still logged into on my phone if that helps. After we do this I’ll log out and then relogin into my new bitwarden account.

Once the old account is deleted, you could change the email on your new account back to the old email if you want to.
