Minimize only if one screen is connected

I’m using Bitwarden on my laptop. Sometimes if I’m on the road I’ve got only the Laptop screen there I want to minimize Bitwarden automatically after copying, since I have only one screen to work with. If I’m at home, I have multiple screens, one I can use for my main task and another one for programs I need to get information or place the Bitwarden window there. Then, I don’t want Bitwarden to be minimized, since it can stay there without annoying me or blocking space I need.

To come to the final point:
There should be on option that Bitwarden detects whether there are multiple screens or not, and if there are multiple screens it shouldn’t minimize after copying.

I know this might be a very specific need, but I have the hope there are some people around with the same wish.

@Washed4533 Welcome to the forum!

You are probably already aware of this, but in the off chance that you’re not — please note that you can manually change the behavior by checking/unchecking the option “Minimize when copying to clipboard” under File > Settings. This takes immediate effect (does not require app restart).

So, to clarify, you wish to save yourself the 4 mouse-clicks, by having Bitwarden automatically update this setting when the number of connected monitors changes?

Yes, I am aware of that.

Yes, that’s the wish, by saying this, it seems more stupid to more than ever, since the work for the developer to request the number of screens connected might be more difficult than for me to make these changes every time I connect the external screen.
But it would be more comfortable for me and maybe there are some others around who have the same problem and maybe there are even so much that it would be all around a helpful feature.

But I’ve already had this in might when I created the request.

Thanks for the clarification. A work-around may be to use two separate installations of the Desktop app (e.g., one using the standard installer or Windows store installer, and one installation using the portable Desktop app) — then you can have two different sets of preferences.

Good luck with your feature request!
