Making Password Management Truly Intelligent (using AI and automation features)

Bitwarden can transform password management through these AI and automation features, while keeping users in complete control of their data:

Smart Form Detection & Data Entry

  • Automatic custom field creation (e.g., when signing up on acronis.com, automatically creating fields for First Name, Last Name, Country, Email) - eliminates manual setup
  • Intelligent field mapping and data retention across websites - prevents repetitive typing
  • Smart dropdown suggestions by context - right information, first time

Smart Email Management

  • Category-based suggestions (e.g., if [email protected] is used on Capital One’s website, it’s automatically suggested for other banking sites) - keeps accounts organized
  • Pattern learning for appropriate email selection - prevents using wrong emails

Intelligent Organization

  • AI-powered memorable login names - makes accounts instantly recognizable
  • Smart categorization based on usage - keeps important logins accessible
  • Proactive cleanup suggestions - maintains a relevant, organized vault

Sidenote: I changed the title from “Making Password Management Truly Intelligent” to “Making Password Management Truly Intelligent (using AI and automation features)” to make it a bit more “obvious” what the FR is about.

Thank you. Could you please let me know what FR stands for?

Feature Request

Using AI turns me right off. If Bitwarden gets AI I am out. The extension won’t get AI as it is too large. Using anything else means handing over your data to it which is not what you want to do. I can see some general features that would be good but most can use statistical analysis to achieve which means it can be kept local.
Just my thoughts anyway.
