MacOS Standard Installer (LIMITED/Unusable Version)

The MacOS Standard Installer is useless as it intentionally provides users with a different and/or limited version of the desktop app in the sense that it isn’t paired with the Safari browser extension. In order to get the full version, one must download Bitwarden on the App Store. Is the App Store private all of a sudden? Can someone enlighten me?

Why can’t users get the proper, full version of the app they pay for via the standard installer or HomeBrew?

But isn’t it true that distribution to end users for Safari Web Extensions is limited to the Mac App Store unless you weaken your security by allowing unsigned extensions?

It’s only after reading your comment that I recall seeing something about that but I don’t know to what extent it’s true because I have two other extensions (both privacy-centric) which are downloadable without issue off the App Store.
