MacOS (M2 MAX) Loop when logging in on safari. Asks for login keychain but doesn't respond to apple keychain password (works properly elsewhere) or Bitwarden password (also works elsewhere)

Good Afternoon all,

I keep getting this popup when I open safari and click on Bitwarden the first time. I can’t deny and any password I enter into it I can click allow and then this window just pops up again. I know the passwords I’m entering are current and work everywhere else inside Apples own passwords app (to unlock and do other things) as well as my Bitwarden password which works perfectly on this machine in Firefox but also all my other windows machines and apple devices.

What gives? Should I uninstall? Is it a setting somewhere?

I have the same issue noticed today.
re-installing the Bitwarden app or extension did not help at all.

Hi, do you happen to have touchId unlock enabled in the Safari Bitwarden extension?

Your absence from this thread since July of last year suggests that you have solved the problem on your own, but for the benefit of other forum readers, per the documentation, you should enter your Apple login keychain password into the prompt, and then click Always Allow.
