Looks like a issue with Apple Silicon based machines - mine is also affected.

Same problem here :
A JavaScript error occurred in the main process

Temporary workaround -

  1. Close the desktop app completely
  2. Open finder to reveal Bitwarden.app
  3. Right click > get info
  4. Check the “Open using Rosetta” option
  5. Open the app and all should be back to normal

That works fine, thank you!

Fixed version 1.26.5 is now published :sunglasses:

Thank you for the quick fix! App Store version is currently at 1.26.3 - hopefully, they’ll publish your latest version 1.26.5 soon. Cheers!

1.26.5 ist online:

The app is still running in Intel mode after ticking that “Open using Rosetta” option before. And now when I try to revert it back, I see no such checkbox option in the app info dialog (the app is exited)…

Any idea how to revert it back?

The ‘fix’ was to revert back to an intel binary. We’re working on figuring out why things were not compiling correctly, and hopefully a universal app is next.
