I have a paid “premium” subscription with 2 collections defined in my vault. When I try to add another collection it says “Free subscriptions are limited to 2 collections”. I’m not sure if that means I need to buy yet another subscription?
I think this is a reference to the fact that your are using a “Free Organization” (which is limited to 2 collections). If you need more than 2 collections, you would need a paid organization plan (e.g., Families, Teams, or Enterprise).
A while back I had the support team merge two accounts into one. Now I have 2 vaults. One with a name and the other as “my vault”. The named vault is free, the “my vault” is a paid/premium subscription. I just want all the contents merged under my paid subscription, but the only “move” option I have is going from paid to free, not the other direction. This is confusing.
Can you access both vaults while logged in to your Premium subscription account? If so, the “named” free vault is most likely not a separate account, but simply an organization vault owned by your Premium account.
It is possible to transfer vault items from an individual vault (e.g., your Premium account’s “My Vault”) to an organization vault, but it is not possible to transfer items out of an organization vault back into an individual vault.
You have two options:
-
You can create a “clone” of an item from the organization vault, which allows you to specify which vault the cloned item should be stored in. Thus, you can specify that the cloned item should belong to “My Vault”, and after cloning has been completed, delete the original item from the organization vault.
-
You could create an export of the organization vault, and then import the exported data into your individual “My Vault”. This should work in principle, but I have not attempted it myself, so I don’t know whether you will need to “condition” the exported file from your organization vault before importing it into an individual vault.
