Is there an ETA of when the search results are fixed for the Authenticator iOS app?

According to the iOS app store, at the time I’m typing this, the last update for the Bitwarden Authenticator iOS app was 5 months ago. I have more than 60+ codes in it and when i try to search for a site all the search result codes are always “123 456”? I just curious as to when they will fix it.

The patch (PR 119) that fixes this bug (Issue 117) was merged on September 24, so it should be available in the next release. Unfortunately, the expected date of release has not been disclosed by Bitwarden.

At this point, the Authenticator app seems like an after thought or someone’s personal project that they have abandoned.

But just maybe, they are figuring out the architecture and security so that the password manager can pull the code from the Authenticator app. If so I’d be curious to see how they would do that because I feel that if someone has access to your vault then they will have access to the Authenticator app.

I think it’s safe to say, that it is not abandoned. Everyone interested can see the open and closed pull requests on GitHub for the Android version: Pull requests · bitwarden/authenticator-android · GitHub and the iOS version: Pull requests · bitwarden/authenticator-ios · GitHub so the thing is in active developement.

To me it seems (and I guess you @MFKDGAF implied that also) that they are working on releasing “phase 2”, specifically the “syncing part”…:
