Is there a way to restore a deleted foder.

I accidentally deleted a couple of password folders. Is there anyway to recover them?

Unfortunately deleted folders can not be recovered, they are not sent to the trash.

However, items in that folder are not deleted when you delete the folder. ¨They remain in your vault (the ones what were only in the deleted folder will be in “No folder”. The ones that were also in other folders will be in those other folders).

But yes, the folder in itself is gone for good.

I am aware of three ways.

  1. Restore them from the export you created last week.
  2. In the web vault (https://vault.bitwarden.com or https://vault.bitwarden.eu) there is a Trash “folder” at the bottom of the “filter” column.
  3. Create an unencrypted export, edit it to set the “deletedDate” to null, delete your vault contents and restore from the export.
