Is there a way to get the password owned befor the password store on organisation?

For the same URI I can have many password (I do the admin of the account of my kids sometime…)
I share their password between their bitwarden and mine.
Is their a way to tag one password as “favorite” so that if the check URI found more than one password the favorite password is proposed first ?

After some investigation it seem’s :

  • It is possible to put a “favorite” password and it works fine in the firefox plugin. The favorite one is in first position
  • But with IOS the apple autofill get the different password from the app bitwarden and did not take into account the “favorite” flag to select the first one to propose…

I also try to put the “favorite” one with a longer “URI” with “start with” selection methode

=> not taken into account…

I try one password in “Host” and the other in “start with”

=> not taken into acccount…

Did someone has a way to be able to force IOS to chose a specific password from the bitwarden app when 2 exist for the same website?

Many thanks

Generally, the autofill suggestions are offered in the order of most recent use (i.e., the account that was most recently autofilled will be at the top of the list next time that you autofill).

If you only rarely log in to your children’s accounts, then you can edit those login items, click the :gear: icon in the Website (URI) field, and set the Match Detection to “Never”. This will omit those accounts from the autofill suggestions. If you ever need to access one of your children’s accounts, simply open the browser extension and search for the login item, then click the Options button (three vertical dots), select “Autofill”, and then click the Autofill without adding button at the bottom of the “Confirm Autofill” prompt.

Thanks for help.

=> Yes that works like this with the pluggin on firefox or with the app bitwarden.

But when using an other app or a safari on Iphone it seem’s the IOS get a list from the app bitwarden but change the order whit it’s own logic…

Concerning the idea with “Never” on match detection I will try but as the passwords are shared with my children with an organisation/collection if I put the match detection to “Never” I think they will not have the autofill ?

=> I will try and let you know

You are right — this setting is synced, so it would affect your children’s use of the accounts.

An alternative approach, which is a little more cumbersome, is to log in to the Web Vault, open the Admin Console, and remove your account from the collection access list (permissions). This will hide that collection from your browser extension (and Desktop and mobile apps). If you need to access one of the hidden accounts in the future, you’d have to go back into the Admin Console; there, you can either copy the passwords from the hidden collection directly, or add your account back to the collection access list.
