Hey folks, I use Haiku app on my iPhone. iOS passwords appears to recognize a matching website (but incorrectly thinks its a verification field). Bitwarden does not even give a pop-up. No password suggestion on keyboard, either. Any idea how to fix?
Not an iPhone user… so one of the only things I can provide: you can always report autofill issue for the mobile apps here (official Google form): Report mobile autofill failure
Surprised your health system allows you to use Bitwarden to store passwords. Our SSO is for email, Epic, PACS, and everything connected to the health system. One password and they don’t want us storing it in a password manager.
Using a password manager allows you to generate and use secure passwords. I’m more surprised that passkeys are not commonplace in healthcare yet.
Problem with passkeys is logging into workstations at the hospital. Need some sort of token device to store the passkey. I’m sure we’ll have some sort of solution in the coming years, but healthcare is not on the cutting edge of technology. Look at how many pages we waste with fax transmissions.
The fact we still use fax is just sad - I agree there. Workstations at hospitals I work at have tap’n’go which are convenient with SSO and all but also security nightmares. You can tap in and leave and the next person to tap in can still be logged into your Epic and email! We have not pursued this in our outpatient clinic for various reasons.
Some websites have instituted passkeys using a QR code. That way you can use your phone as the passkey. I’d rather take it a step forward and just NFC or something to make the connection (not sure if that is a technical possibility or not).
Sounds like Yubico Security Key NFC might be what you are looking for.
