iOS/iPadOS apps no longer work

I’m privy to a number of articles on BW community website and reddit concerning IOS/IPADOS BW apps not working.

Been using BW for 2 years, love it … I use Apples PWD management features within the iApple EcoSystem … and for everything else, use BW.

I’m not hosted, run the latest BW apps for IP15PM/IPADPRO 12.9M1 … both OS versions 18.3.1 (latest as of this posting). I use NordVPN on my Deco BE95 Router, but have bypass rules for my IP15PM/IPADPRO.

Authentication on web browsers (safari, chrome, ff, brave, tor) for Mac OS, Win11, IP15PM, IPADPRO … all work flawlessly … i’m 2FA’d w/OTP …

At one point in time (I believe IOS/IPADOS 17.x), the BW apps worked fine.

I’ve gone through deleting the Apps, Rebooting the devices, Re-Installing the APPS … to no avail … I’ve also tried disabling the KEYBOARD PUNCTUATION as other posts recommended …

I’ve tried with and without NordVPN activated … no luck …

sometimes the BW screen just says “Loading” (indefinitely) … sometimes it says invalid UID/PW (after a lengthy period of time) … when I put in a bad master password, it comes back much quicker than a valid master password… one time I got through to the OTP prompt, but it never responded back once that value was populated

not sure were to go from here … I could pull log files from the IOS/IPADOS device(s) if that would be helpful in troubleshooting

any advice would be appreciated

Did you choose the server region, your account was created on (either US/.com or EU/.eu)?

Did you try to deactivate WiFi temporarily, i.e. changing to cellular?

You mean not self-hosted? - If you were self-hosting, you should update the server version…

So, BW iOS app version 2025.1.3, I guess?

Okay, bypass rules… apart from trying it with cellular connection as suggested above - maybe also restart your router (thought: if it was an IP thing, maybe it would help, to get a new IP from your ISP)… and did you ever try it in a different WiFi environment?

Other than that - or rather if nothing helps - you should contact support.

yes, connected to .com (not .eu) … yes (not self hosted) … yes, latest version of the app (via the App Store).

I tried cellular only today … didn’t work … but I had NordVPN on … turned it off … and via cellular then worked perfectly …

is there any limitation w/VPN’s I should be made aware of?

I’ll now troubleshoot further on my wifi w/VPN (both on device, and on router) to see if I can make it work …
