Invalid master password in app

When I use the Bitwarden app (2024.12.0 (34542)), or the extension for Safari, I cannot log into my Bitwarden account: invalid password.
When I log into my account on the Bitwarden website and copy the password from the app to the login screen, it works flawlessly, so the password is correct.

I tried the same in Firefox (133.0.3, extension 2024.11.2) and here I can login with my password and use the hardware key for 2FA.

I tried the Chrome extension (2024.11.2) and that works after removing and reinstalling.

The Bitwarden app also does not accept “login via other device”. The fingerprint is sent to my phone, I accept it, but the app does not seem to receive the reply.

This seems to happen after an update to MacOS Somona 14.7.2 and Safari 18.2 (19620.1.16.111.6, 19620).

I removed the app and reinstalled it. I restarted the computer. What can be the problem?

P.S. tried the same on an old MacBook (Catalina 10.15.7): the same problem, logging into the website works, not into the app (2024.3.0 (21897)).

P.S. After an hour I can use the Safari extension, but still not the app, although both are the same version (2024.12.0)

On the apps/extensions where you cannot log in, have you set the server selection (“Accessing…” below the email address input field) to match the domain where your account is registered (e.g., bitwarden.eu vs. bitwarden.com)?

For some reason the app now works, including hardware key verification.

Log in via another device also works. It must have been some synchronisation issue, I guess.

I tried domain .eu, but then it refused e-mail as well as password, so apperently I am in the .com domain.
