Inline Autofill Menu shows broken link ("... refused to connect")

Inline Autofill shows a “broken link” when attempting to login to 3CX. Attempted in both Edge and Chrome. Bitwarden version is current. I have multiple clients experiencing this. Have already filled out the bug report with Bitwarden.

@duanew Welcome to the forum!

Could you share the exact link to that form?

When I visit the site and go to “login”, I see a slightly differently designed form and the inline autofill menu gets displayed as it should:

here is a link to one of our client sites.

3CX

I’m able to reproduce this, as well. I don’t see your bug report on Github. Perhaps you submitted an autofill failure report, but IMO, this behavior is a UI bug and should reported as a “New Issue”.

P.S. I’ve changed the “app:” tag for your topic to “app:browser”, since this is in regards to the browser extension, not the Desktop app.

On that client site, I also can reproduce that.

I don’t know if it helps in any way, but Vivaldi shows a warning sign, but I didn’t see any obvious indication what that could mean. (maybe it’s a broken link like you @duanew suspected - or maybe a permissions issue?)

PS: I was the one who updated the title, to make it more clear what the issue is… (the original title was “Autofill on 3cx shows broken link”)

Hello,

I encountered the same issues some weeks ago, not on 3cx but on our FortiClient EMS login webpage.

At first I thought it could be a licensing issue that was expiring on the server but now everythign has been renewed it seems to be something else. In addition to that, when I connect i get this strange popup that also seems to belong to Bitwarden extension :

When looking at the console, I see those 2 errors looping :

That refers to those 2 functions :

Oh and as I just created an account here I can only put 1 image per post… so I’m sorry, here are all of them merged :

I don’t get why this only happens on some websites, any help is welcome !

Hello,

in ForticlientEMS is same issue - bitwarden addon in Brave browser generate grey square on right site. And how wrote @Timberland, on login page are grey square in input box on right site.

I am running Chrome Dev in Windows 10. About a month or so ago, whenever I go to the locked chats in web.whatsapp.com, a popup appears, that says:

03649cbe-8620-4098-8da9-7x3x2x6xcx2x refused to connect.

I have replaced some numbers with x as I am not sure this is secure to share.

Anyway, if I look into the source code,

<bit-notification-bar-root>
  <template shadowrootmode="closed" shadowrootdelegatesfocus="">
    <div id="bit-notification-bar" style="height: 400px !important; width: 430px !important; max-width: calc(100% - 20px) !important; min-height: initial !important; top: 10px !important; right: 0px !important; padding: 0px !important; position: fixed !important; z-index: 2147483647 !important; visibility: visible !important; border-radius: 4px !important; border-width: medium !important; border-style: none !important; border-color: currentcolor !important; border-image: initial !important; background-color: transparent !important; overflow: hidden !important; transition: box-shadow 0.15s 0.15s !important;">
      <iframe id="bit-notification-bar-iframe" src="chrome-extension://03649cbe-8620-4098-8da9-7x3x2x6xcx2x/notification/bar.html?parentOrigin=https%3A%2F%2Fweb.whatsapp.com" style="width: 100% !important; height: 100% !important; border: 0px !important; display: block !important; position: relative !important; transition: transform 0.15s ease-out, opacity 0.15s !important; border-radius: 4px !important; color-scheme: auto !important; transform: translateX(0px) !important; opacity: 1 !important;"></iframe>
    </div>
  </template>
</bit-notification-bar-root>

If I remove the bitwarden extension, this disapears.

Any idea what it could be?

@kwanbis I’ve moved your post into a – I think – related thread.

Here the corresponding bug report on GitHub:
