In lastpass, when creating a new account, if the number of characters was limited, or special characters were not allowed, I could change the suggested password AT THE NEW PASSWORD FIELD

Can you please clarify exactly where you want these generator controls to appear?

For comparison, this is the workflow that many of us recommend:

1. Create a new login item, and press the “generate” icon in the password field:

 

2. Configure password generator parameters, and click “Use this password”:

3. Enter username, and click “Save”:

4. Go back to Vault view, and autofill the credentials:
