Import from Roboform unsuccessful

I’m moving from Roboform to Bitwarden.
I followed the very straightforward instructions on exporting and importing my logins.
The result: the imported logins have data in only 2 fields: Item Name and Username. The passwords and urls are empty.
Could there be a mismatch in the csv’s field names? Maybe Roboform changed them in a recent update?
These are the fields, listed in the 1st line of the exported csv file:
Name,URL,MatchUrl,Login,Password,Note,Folder,RfFieldsV2

I’ll be grateful for any help, e.g. if anyone can provide the field names that Bitwarden expects.

Welcome, @dgold to the community.

Export a CSV from Bitwarden and use that as your starting point. This will give you the exact and current import format, most notably the current header row.

Do note that repeated importing will result in duplicates, so you probably want to purge your vault (on the ‘My Account’ page in the web vault) before the final import.

Also, this counts as a “big change” to your vault. Unless your Bitwarden vault is brand new you might first create a JSON or ZIP backup so that if you royally mess up it can be restored to “yesterday”.

Welcome to the forum!

In the exported CSV file, what type of data is contained in the columns URL, MatchUrl, and RfFieldsV2?

Thanks @DenBesten, that did the trick.
I replaced the field names in the exported Roboform file with the corresponding names in the exported Bitwarden file, and when importing selected the Bitwarden (csv) format.

BTW my Bitwarden vault is indeed brand new. I just decided it’s high time I stopped trusting obscure 3rd parties with my passwords

Glad to hear that your import worked, but providing a little more information here might help the next user who needs to import from Roboform.

You’re right @grb.

Actually, I just found a better solution:
The export I originally did from Roboform was via the Windows desktop client.

I now tried importing a file that was exported from the Roboform browser extension (in Firefox, I assume that the other browser extensions should give the same result), and it was successful!
The exported file had different field names, apparently the ones the Bitwarden expects.

So the bottom line is - if you need to transfer data from Roboform to Bitwarden, use the Roboform browser extension to do the export, and not the desktop client.

I cannot import CSV file exported by Roboform because of all the login passwords are empty. The csv file contains all the passwords. All data are imported right but the logins have no password data.

This was discussed a week ago. Moved your report into the prior discussion as it has a couple of solutions (above).

Thanks a lot.
Resolved!
