Import from Aegis -- "wrong format"

Hi

The Authi takes no Passworts from the old Authi (Ageis) it says that is the wrong format(thats not)

What make i wrong?

I have no clue, as there’s little to no info about what you did try.

You do want use your “old” codes in the dedicated Bitwarden authenticator app, right? (and you don’t mean the integrated authenticator of the BW password manager?!)

As far as I can see, the steps would be the following (and assuming you meant the BW authenticator app):

  1. Make an unencrypted .json export in Aegis (–> from the Import & Export screen in Aegis)

  2. If necessary, copy the unencrypted .json file to the device where you want to use the Bitwarden authenticator app.

  3. In the Bitwarden authenticator app, go to Settings → Import

  4. Tap on “file format”, choose “Aegis” and choose the unencrypted .json export file from Aegis…
