I recently switched to using Bitwarden password manager and noticed that when I try to open the login page for HSBC web banking the login page will not complete loading. If I turn off the Bitwarden extension the login page loads correctly. I don’t store my banking passwords in the Bitwarden vault so it is not critical to have the Bitwarden password manager add-on active on the HSBC web banking login page, but it is a bit annoying having to remember to turn it off (so I can log in to HSBC web banking) and turn it back on again (so I can log into other sites where I do store my passwords in Bitwarden password manager), and I never had to disable the add-on for my previous password manager.
I am on Windows 11 using Firefox. I use Multi-Account Containers in Firefox to isolate the HSBC banking site. I have tried turning off all add-ons except the Bitwarden password vault and I still can’t get the HSBC web banking login page to load if the Bitwarden password vault is active, so it doesn’t appear to be a clash with another add-on. I’ve set the HSBC web banking login page as an excluded domain on Autofill and Notifications, but it still won’t allow the page to load if the Bitwarden password manager add-on is active (regardless of whether I’m logged in to my Bitwarden password vault or not).
Any suggestions on what else I could try or is this likely a problem I will have to put up with?
