Host URI matching with custom port numbers not supported in Android?

Same here… (version 2024.11.7)
In my case, all the URIs use custom port numbers (not 80/443).

The issue of item detection on Android is all over the internet for years back (at least since 2022) and there is nothing to go by :man_shrugging:

Not in Github issues, Community posts, Reddit, nothing/nowhere.

To me, it seems that using a custom port number (more precisely having multiple items under the same domain using different ports) is not supported on mobile.
This is not documented anywhere or said explicitly by Bitwarden - I’m just assuming this since I don’t have anything else to go by.

The only responses you’ll find are:

  1. Links to documentation (style RTFM) that do not reflect/address this issue.
  2. Questioning why you need this supported? e.g. Maybe our use case (custom port number??) is outstanding and unique.
  3. Try the Beta version (since 2022)
  4. No responses at all
  5. Close issues due to inactivity or Git reorganization.

I don’t get it…

I’m about 8 years a Bitwarden user (self-hosted) and I loved it, but without modern client experience and the feeling of lack of support/communication/maintained-software, I think it’s time to checkout alternatives.

@Ben_Kaplan Welcome to the forum!

The Android app is out of beta, so I moved your comment into the the appropriate section of the forum. If you would prefer a different topic title, please let me know.

I can’t personally provide any advice, as I am neither self-hosted, nor a mobile user, but maybe having your post in the correct location will get some eyeballs on it. :eyes:
