I’m questioning Bitwarden’s behavior during folder deletion. It seems unlike how I would expect a folder delete operation should be conducted. I realize that folders in Bitwarden are not necessarily folders, but if they’re named folders then that puts a mindset on what to expect when doing stuff with them. I’m doing cleanup of duplicates and trying to purge a Recycle folder quickly by just deleting the folder only to discover that once deleted the credentials are merely moved out of the folder structure.
What I would expect is that Bitwarden does the typical folder traversal operation and offers to delete subfolders and files as well as the requested folder. Either that or don’t call it a folder so there’s no expectations. I don’t know what suggested replacement name to give it that seems intuitive.
