Fingerprint phrase does not match

I am experiencing the issue that the fingerprint phrase does not match, even though I am certain that it is me requesting the login.

Firefox 117.0.1
Bitwarden 2023.8.3

And if I use desktop application the fingerprint phrase match !!

And if I use Chrome extension match too. So, issue of Firefox extension?

Hi @Onsibus - thank you for your question! Yes, if you have verified that you aren’t having an issue with your fingerprint phrase on other clients, I would start with troubleshooting Firefox, perhaps installing a previous version to see if you have the same issue.

Solved, uninstalling and installing the extension. BUT if in firefox I try to access Bitwarden web interface Bitwarden Web Vault and validate the login using the iphone I have the SAME PROBLEM !!!

Same issue here. I have the Chrome browser extension installed on my Windows 11 PC and the Android app installed on my phone. If I try to log into the web vault on my PC in Chrome and choose “Log in with device” the fingerprint phrase does not match the one that appears on my Android phone. I know it’s me making the request, but the phrases do not match. Uninstalling and reinstalling the extension did not fix it.

I spoke at length with support, conducting various tests. In my case, the issue was due to the time difference set on my PC and the time on the device used for login validation. My PC, controlled by my organization, is approximately 10 seconds behind the time dictated by NTP services. I don’t know if this could be the issue in your case as well.

Interesting, thanks Onsibus. I just updated the time on both devices and I’m still having the same issue. I checked them against each other and they seem to be dead on, at least within a second. So for me it appears to have a difference cause. Appreciate the info though.

Have you tried reinstalling the application on your phone?

Note: I recently increased my KDF iterations (and resetted all my sessions).
