If voting for a request has been locked then it makes sense to me to lock the thread.
I don’t know why voting gets locked but if it’s because the feature has been implemented, then there’s no reason to continue the conversation. If it’s because of the age of a request(or the request has been denied?) then it would make more sense(to me) to lock the entire thread and let people vote on the feature again if the decide they still want it.
I think you mean this feature request: Automatically remind the user to change their password after x days ?!

Ah, as I reallocated my own last vote now 
… the feature request I removed the vote from to test it was first shown as “closed”… refreshing the site made it possible to vote again for it for me… so, you might just needed to refresh the site.
One needs to spend some time browsing around the forum reading a few different topics before they are granted voting rights.
Prior to today, you had totaled ~15 minutes read-time. Today, you spent another ~15 and therefore graduated from “new user” to “basic user” and were granted 20 votes, of which I see you have used a few.
Since you now have voted for the FR I suspect to have spawned this FR, I believe this FR can be closed as “implemented”. Please post if you disagree. Meanwhile, I have set this FR auto-close in a week, but that can be reversed.
I didn’t know voting was restricted for new users, thanks for the info.
