Fdroid and Obtainium upgrades from Github

hello,

I installed and was upgrading bitwarden password manager through Obtainum app right from github and fdroid before that since years ago.

All that broke when developers released the Authenticator app by piling it into the same Releases section as the Password Manager.

Now both Obtainium and Fdroid download updates for Authenticator, try to upgrade the Password Manager with Authenticator upgrade and error out.

Uninstalling and trying to reinstall through Obtainium and Fdroid, leads to related errors, and i can’t reinstall Password Manager at all now.

How can this be fixed?

(Not sure who needed yet another authenticator app in the world, but certainly wasn’t I. And if it was so necessary to create, why wasn’t it worthy of its own releases repository on Github instead of piling it together with the Password Manager?)

Tried also reinstalling FDroid and adding Bitwarden from Bitwarden site link for Fdroid.

Still get error that existing signatures do not match newer version.

Trying to install earlier versions, gives downgrade errors.

Rather suspicious.

Was finally able to reinstall PM by downloading apk from GitHub, but something has definitely been changed in that distribution channel to break it for users like me.

Have to update it manually now.

:waving_hand: Hey! Obtainium needs to be configured to handle a monorepo. I’m not an Obtainium user but I’ve seen mentioned the ability to filter release titles and apks.
