I posted a topic on this yesterday, but the problem seems to have returned, and the fix provided to me suddenly just quit working. I’m not going to say the specific site name (unless asked of course), but one of my website vault entries isn’t showing it’s favicon. Of like 10 sites, this particular one is the only one not providing a favicon. In my previous post someone suggested I use a sub domain which was essentially URL.zendesk.com, and that actually worked. It started showing the favicon and I was elated! My OCD was pleased as well, heh. But a few hours later that fix seems to have stopped working and the default favicon returned. I’ll be happy to provide the website in question if asked/needed, otherwise I"m just looking for some solutions to this. It’s the ONLY website so far that provides this issue
Interesting. The Zendesk URL no longer works for me either. Could be a temporary problem. If it doesn’t resolve itself after a few days, I would suggest contacting Customer Support.
Very well. I was shocked that your solution just quit working. I’ve since tried various sub domains with no luck. URL.[Redacted].com, etc, etc which are all valid URL’s. Your original suggestion quit literally hours after you suggested it, hah.
Again, I am going to redact links to crypto sites out of an abundance of caution. For the one that you mentioned, I see a favicon if I set URI1 to https://web.[Redacted].com
.
I didn’t think I had mentioned the actual site, but I’m not here to argue, I’m hear to fix the issue, heh. But anyways, that solution doesn’t seem to work for me, but it does for you? Interesting.
I’m referring to the base domain that you had posted in this comment, not the top comment. The favicon for that base domain is available on the subdomain web.XXXXX.com
.
oh fair enough. All good, not trying to stir any trouble mate, just here to learn and fix the issue is all. Cheers.
