I’m trying to import my 1password vault to Bitwarden, but I’m getting a generic error, Failed to parse key. I’m using the latest 1Password and Bitwarden on Mac. Appreciate any help as I’m trying to move away from 1password.
From 1password, I exported it to .1pux format. I recalled I’ve this before few months ago, and there was no issue.
@alienxp03 Welcome to the forum!
If you have an iOS 26+ device, you could try if the new CXP route works: Import from 1Password | Bitwarden
PS: Maybe just a coincidence – there is a similar issue on GitHub: Unable to import 1password 1pux (related to ssh key) · Issue #20432 · bitwarden/clients · GitHub – If it’s also an SSH key in your case @alienxp03 you might use the solution that OP there posted. (and 1PUX files are unencrypted ZIP archives, so you could also unzip the file and remove e.g. incompatible SSH keys before zipping it again… BTW, here another list to check for import compatibility: Import Data | Bitwarden)
Your first solution works! Thanks!
From 1password, Settings → Advanced → Start Export → Bitwarden.
