Failed login attempts detected email

Hi
I just received an email from bitwarden about failed login attempts to my account.
This is the first time I ever received this email from bitwarden. Should I be concerned? The message says that the account is secured with captcha as an additional protection measure.
I’m a bit worried.
Thanks

No, you needn’t worry; the email pretty much says that the attacker didn’t know your password. They just tried your email with a password that probably has been leaked. You can see where a recent leak might have occurred at: https://haveibeenpwned.com/

You can eliminate getting this kind of benign but worrying email by using a unique email address for your BW account. This can be accomplished by using a plus address, or an email alias. A plus address is like, if your email is [email protected], the address [email protected] would also get delivered into your account. You can also use aliases from services like DuckDuckGo, addy.io, or SimpleLogin.
