Extension doesn't show number overlay (Edge)

For some reason the extension has stopped showing the number overlay in Edge. Ctrl+Shift+L stopped working as well. Problem just started today.

If I click the extension icon, it does show the matching sites and I can autofill from there.

Any ideas what might have caused this?

Extension version: 2024.8.0
Edge version: 127.0.2651.105

Just in case something got reset in your preferences, check that Settings > Appearance > Show Badge Counter is enabled.

Thanks for the suggestion. I looked and that option was already checked. I tried disabling/re-enabling it and interestingly the badge counter DID reappear, but it didn’t stay fixed. If I navigate to another page the counter is missing again.

The issue appears to be widespread, affecting numerous users, including myself, across identical software versions. Additionally, the autofill feature is failing to activate upon focusing on form fields.

The team is aware of the issue and looking into a resolution. The issue is being tracked with Browser extension does not show autofill menu on focused form fields, right-click menu and badge counter in Microsoft Edge when "Allow in InPrivate" is toggled on · Issue #10691 · bitwarden/clients · GitHub.
