today I wanted to export my vault using the Linux Desktop app (2026.1.0). After selecting JSON and typing my master password, the app says that the export was successful, but it does not reveal the location.
According to the documentation, the location is set by my device and usually points to the Downloads folder. There is no “.json” file there. Actually I searched the whole home-directory for files created in the last hour, but with no luck. I also started the application on the command line, watching the log output, but it does not print anything about the export.
If there is an unencrypted export of my vault, I would really like to know where it is. Does anyone have a clue where I can look?
