Error when enabling browser integration on macOS desktop app

On macOS desktop app I can’t enable browser integration anymore. It stopped working at some point and when I try to enable it by clicking in desktop app settings, I get this error:

“Error enabling browser integration. An error has occurred while enabling browser integration.”

That’s it.

I have tried:

  • uninstalling and reinstalling the app via App Store
  • deleting all bitwarden folders under ~/Library/Application Support

How do I debug this? What is the actual error or issue here, are there any logs I can view?
