"Edit" button missing in "View" of a Login Item

The latest update to the BW extension in Firefox causes the “Edit” button to disappear when I am viewing a login entry. I have to click on “Pop out” to see the “Edit” button, however, if I want to capture a TOTH barcode, I have to be on the same page as the QR code - and the pop-out window is not.

This used to work until the recent UI changes. Does anyone know how I can restore the old behavior in the BW extension on Firefox so I can see the “Edit” button again while viewing a login entry? Thank you.

p.s. Chrome does not seem to suffer from this issue.

Simply adding my voice that I have the exact same behavior since the redesign. You can’t even click the vault setting icon. Further more, if you popout within a credential, you can’t go back to the vault view, you need to close the popout and open it again.
Using Fedora + firefox. I was not successful in finding a work around in the apperence menu.
FYI, this bugs seems to be related.

@MartinN Welcome to the forum!

I think when you wrote, the latest Firefox extension version was 2024.12.4. Now, there’s 2025.2.0 available. Did this change something for you?

It doesn’t seem to be a general problem, as I do see the edit button in the “View item” page on my Firefox extension:

So maybe tell a bit more about your system.
Do you use a zoom different than 100%?

@plg Welcome to the forum!

So, you don’t have that “back” button there in the “popped-out window”:

?

And when you have the same problem as @MartinN also: do you have a zoom different than 100%?

@MartinN @plg You both use Linux… so if these were bugs you experience – and others on non-Linux systems don’t experience – you maybe should report those things as bugs (“New issue”) on GitHub.

PS: I wrote “report those things (separately)…” before. That may have been misleading. I meant: report one issue at a time. (and not that you two separately from each other should report them :rofl:)

PPS: Just a thought, but to be comprehensive: the Edit button could be in general also missing, if you have a vault item (in a collection), where you don’t have edit permissions. On the other hand, at least you @MartinN wrote, you don’t have that issue with Chrome, so that would speak against that “theory”…
