Steps:
- As an employee, I’m using Microsoft Edge as the company imposed browser.
- I use its “Split screen” feature, which opens two web pages side by side, left and right, in the same Edge window.
- I now have website A on left, and website B on right: the “active” one. Note the one I’m interacting with at the moment has a blue outline border around it to distinguish it.
Feature request
- When I’m working in left side (website A is “active” in the window), the Bitwarden extension proposes autofill suggestions matching website A.
- When I’m working in right side (website B is “active” in the window), autofill suggestions are matched against the website B.
Actual behaviour
- Today, whatever the left or right side is active, suggestions are always proposed based on the left side / website A.
- A workaround is to use the “swap right and left side” in Edge, to get the needed suggestions for website B, but it is a bit cumbersome + forces me to re-arrange my sides + it breaks my flow.
- Another workaround is to not use Edge’s “Split Screen” at all, and go with two different windows of course. Please note the “Split screen” feature has some nice conveniences though.
I understand this is quite specific to the Edge browser (the company’s imposed browser), and I don’t even know whether it is feasible. Would be good to know whether that can be addressed though.
Thank you!
