Is there a way to create a template so that any time I add a new item the custom fields are already there?
I have a custom field called 2FA with the on/off toggle that I need to add every time I create a new item, I would love to have it automatically created so that I just have to switch the toggle
You could create a dummy item as a template, then clone the item and edit the clone.
Ok so I can create an item that I call “template” and I leave it blank, then instead of creating a new item I clone that one and use it as a base? And the clone is independent from the original?
Yes, the clone is a copy of the “template” (e.g., it includes the same custom fields, and any other populated information that is contained in the “template”), but it is not linked in any way to the “template”.
Surely this is on the roadmap? Not helped by the fact that you can’t clone in a collection (ie in an organisation)
